About the Role

The Business Development Director - Healthcare Industry Unit at TCS is a leadership role focused on driving growth, building relationships, and enabling business transformation within the healthcare sector. The role involves expanding TCS's client portfolio in North America, managing new business opportunities, and positioning TCS as a market leader in healthcare business transformation. The position requires strategic thinking, market expertise, and a focus on client engagement to support TCS's growth objectives in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets to ensure consistent growth and profitability within the healthcare domain across payers, providers, and PBMs.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through lead generation and prospecting, utilizing healthcare market trends, patient needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop strong, sustainable relationships and referrals with senior management at healthcare firms, including hospitals, clinics, and insurance providers.
  • Collaborate with TCS's market development and solution sales teams to ensure proposed offerings meet healthcare client needs.
  • Provide comprehensive support to healthcare clients during initial engagement phases, ensuring total client satisfaction throughout the relationship lifecycle.
  • Support market research and competitive analysis focused on healthcare industry trends and innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with all TCS policies, standards, and healthcare regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development initiatives tailored to the healthcare sector.
  • Leverage healthcare industry knowledge, patient care protocols, and technological advancements to position TCS as a leader in healthcare transformation.

Requirements

  • Proven success in selling technology outsourcing and digital transformation services within the healthcare industry, with a strong hunter profile.
  • Experience in consultative selling and leading transformation discussions with healthcare clients.
  • Demonstrated over-achievement of client acquisition targets.
  • 12-15 years of experience in selling IT services, including Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, AI, and Business Process Services, specifically to healthcare organizations.
  • Complex negotiation skills with healthcare stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading and managing large pursuits with healthcare clients.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare market trends, patient needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with senior healthcare management.
  • Proficiency in working with internal teams to meet healthcare business and technology needs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging healthcare stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Reside within the region assigned to the position.
