About the Role

The Business Development Executive at XPO is responsible for developing and managing strategies to grow market share within an assigned territory, driving sales initiatives, and maintaining strategic customer relationships. XPO is a top ten global provider of transportation services, emphasizing effective communication, leveraging skills and experience for positive results, and offering growth opportunities in a challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategies to grow market share within assigned territory
  • Drive success in sales initiatives and share best practices for all "focus" accounts within a region
  • Monitor revenue achievement by customers and undertake appropriate action with key stakeholders to ensure that commitments are being met or exceeded
  • Develop and maintain strategic multi-level customer relationships to uncover specific needs and behaviors of key decision-makers
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in CRM

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of sales experience in the LTL transportation industry
  • Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Able to travel 50% of the time
  • Group presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience and travel ability
