About the Role

The Business Development Manager role at BA Commercial involves working closely with management to support strategic ambitions, collaborating across markets and customer segments, and leading strategic projects. The position offers opportunities to build a strong internal network, contribute to business planning, and facilitate high-level discussions within a Nordic insurance organization that is currently integrating with another major player to strengthen its market position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and prioritized projects in Commercial and conduct deep-dives into selected topics.
  • Participate in the strategy and business planning process to ensure strategic focus is maintained.
  • Conduct internal and external analysis to support fact-based decision making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various units such as Product & Underwriting, Sales & Service, Digital & CRM, Private, and Claims to evaluate and realize opportunities.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and develop business cases.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and facilitate top management discussions and meetings.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A couple of years of relevant working experience from a management consulting firm or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language.
  • Strong business acumen with a structured, analytical approach to work.
  • Ability to navigate complex problems and foster collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to help others understand complex concepts.
  • A proactive, open-minded, approachable, and positive personality that instills trust.

Nice to Have

  • Experience from management consulting or similar roles.
  • Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Experience with strategic project management.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant working experience from management consulting or equivalent.
