Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business in the Transportation & Industrial (T&I) market and act as regional interface for market developments in North America.
  • Drive development of new business, new product opportunities, and design-in activities with strategic customers, either directly or by supporting the Sales team.
  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders at strategic customers and within the industry.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Sales, and Product Development to grow the business.
  • Build and present product and application presentations to existing and potential customers, demonstrating value propositions and expertise in interconnect technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio and provide input and proposals for new products and related technologies.
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of new product development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Economic and/or technical background, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree, or 10+ years of connector market experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of business development, sales, or product management experience in connectors or related industry.
  • Familiarity with design-in/spec-in and buying processes in the connectors or related industry.
  • Proven track record of creating new business.
  • Strong technical understanding.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for managing customer engagements.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work across functional departments.
  • Organizational skills to anticipate, prioritize, plan, and meet strategic objectives with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to travel and spend most working hours with potential or existing customers.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Transportation & Industrial markets (Rail, Heavy Vehicles, Energy).
  • Experience in Harsh Environment Circular Connectors.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in economics or technical fields, preferably Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Connector market experience (10+ years) considered in lieu of degree.
