Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with attorneys to develop and implement business development strategies and plans for each partner and their practices, including global initiatives, target client lists, and ongoing practice and client development.
  • Creating competitive proposals, credentials, pitches, and presentations for work originating in the ENRI Practice and from the A&O Shearman network.
  • Coordinating existing projects and developing new opportunities through understanding of the firm's international partner and business development network, sharing ideas to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Conducting market research on existing and prospective clients and market issues, and advising on effective marketing strategies.
  • Arranging and chairing meetings with practice groups to review progress on marketing projects and client targeting, and circulating relevant information.
  • Working with the PR team to identify opportunities and maintain press coverage on major market developments, and drafting entries for directories.
  • Identifying and coordinating firm sponsorships of conferences, planning client events and seminars with the U.S. Events Specialist.
  • Maintaining records of ENRI proposals and matters in the global database, ensuring proper documentation and dissemination.
  • Mentoring and collaborating with junior team members, managing work opportunities, supporting their goals and training, and handling appraisals and promotion discussions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of legal or professional services experience in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to develop an in-depth understanding of the energy and infrastructure sectors, with experience in these sectors preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and strong client focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, including selling concepts and presenting to senior management.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively on multiple deadlines.
  • Proven track record of achieving strategic business objectives and managing resources accordingly.
  • Experience with budgeting and writing business cases is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
