Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts research in order to create prospect lead lists.
  • Develops and implements marketing strategies, such as email drip marketing campaigns and cold call campaigns, to attract new clients.
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for inbound marketing leads.
  • Approaches existing clients for cross-sell opportunities.
  • Manages leads in the CRM system.
  • Analyzes sales data to identify areas of improvement and develop action plans.
  • Participates in networking events and industry conferences to generate new leads.
  • Seeks continued knowledge and stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and external conditions impacting sales and marketing strategies.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of business development or sales experience, insurance brokerage industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
  • Critical thinking skills to use logic and reasoning for problem-solving.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
  • Confidence and demeanor to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and solve problems timely and thoroughly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel; experience with project management and database software preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or regulations.

  • Experience with project management software and database software.

  • Associate degree (2-year degree).
