Business Intelligence Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Developing, supporting, and enhancing reports and dashboards across the enterprise.
• Applying communication skills, problem-solving skills, and best practices to develop Analytics capabilities.
• Coaching and mentoring junior analysts.
• Applying proven data analysis and data mining skills (SQL, DAX, Data Modeling, etc.).
• Creating strong data visualizations within Power BI (or other visualization tools).
• Translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Understanding and applying BI best practices such as data governance, data lineage, data management, data cleansing, and data extraction and transformation (ELT/ETL).
• Working on high performing Agile/Scrum teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrable data analysis and data mining skills (SQL, DAX, Data Modeling, etc.).
• Strong data visualization skills within Power BI (or other data visualization suite).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Understanding of reporting and business intelligence best practices.
• Good understanding of BI concepts such as data governance, data lineage, data management, data modeling, data cleansing, data extraction and transformation (ELT/ETL), and data analysis.
• Experience working on high performing Agile/Scrum teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Computer Science or similar.
• 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft BI Stack or relevant technologies.
• Solid understanding of BI concepts and the ability to communicate these to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in business data modeling, metadata structure, and business subject areas for key processes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Scrum framework (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Computer Science or similar.
• 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft BI Stack or relevant technologies.
