Job Description

About the Role

Develop a comprehensive, cross-functional understanding of business processes, production systems, enterprise-wide data warehouses/sources, and departmental databases. Participate in cross-functional teams for increasing the impact/awareness of business intelligence (BI) projects and tools. Assist in the presentation/demonstration of tools and BI solutions. Conduct business analysis and functional design activities for capturing, loading, storing, and extracting data across the organization. Design, model, and build data structures and data mapping routines to support the data and reporting requirements for all areas of the organization. Participate in strategic assessments to identify current/emerging business issues/problems and contribute to defining high-impact business intelligence solutions with a focus on quantitative methods, modeling, and analytical techniques. Develop reports and definitions, graphs, dashboards, and portal interfaces. Hybrid work from home and office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to increase the impact and awareness of BI projects and tools.
  • Assist in the presentation and demonstration of BI tools and solutions.
  • Conduct business analysis and functional design activities related to data capturing, loading, storing, and extracting.
  • Design, model, and build data structures and data mapping routines to support organizational reporting needs.
  • Contribute to strategic assessments to identify business issues and define BI solutions using quantitative methods, modeling, and analytical techniques.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, graphs, and portal interfaces.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems.
  • At least 2 years of related experience including development of Business Object (BO) reports.
  • Experience with Tableau Dashboard development.
  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) scripting.
  • Experience producing Public University Summary Data.
  • Experience with State of Michigan Higher Education Data Inventory (HEIDI) and federal Department of Education IPEDS compliance reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems.
  • 2 years of related experience.
