About the Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst II at The Trade Desk is responsible for managing and resolving ad hoc business intelligence requests, developing tools to automate tasks, analyzing advertising data to identify market share trends, creating dashboards and reports for operational insights, supporting time-critical data analysis, and leveraging advanced modeling techniques to inform business growth and product development. The role involves collaborating with various teams, serving as a subject matter expert in data analysis and visualization, and providing benchmarking insights across geographies and industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve ad hoc Business Intelligence requests and develop new tools to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Identify and analyze advertising intelligence data to understand market share trends and make recommendations to increase market share.
  • Create dashboards and reports to enable teams to explore data relevant to their operations.
  • Support the business with time-critical data analysis and identify third-party data sources to inform leadership.
  • Improve business operations using operational research and modeling methods.
  • Use predictive modeling techniques to drive growth, generate revenue forecasts, and support tool and report enhancements.
  • Provide benchmarking insights by geography and industry.
  • Apply analytical techniques to identify critical trends and insights from big data and define data pipeline requirements.
  • Proactively analyze The Trade Desk products and features to inform product development.
  • Gather stakeholder requirements, collaborate with teams to develop datasets, and build relevant dashboards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for data analysis methods, tools, and visualization best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business Intelligence, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a similar role or related job.
  • Experience with data extraction tools, including writing and modifying optimized SQL code.
  • Experience with data visualization, including stakeholder discussions, defining success criteria, developing requirements and KPIs, building mockups, and delivering dashboards.
  • Experience with data analysis, extracting and analyzing data, and providing insights to influence business outcomes.
  • Experience with project delivery, cost estimation, building roadmaps, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience presenting data stories using PowerPoint and dashboards.
  • Two (2) years of experience with big data tools, manipulating large datasets, and programming languages for data extraction, analysis, and loading.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with programming languages used for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of operational research and modeling methods.
  • Experience with data pipeline development and large datasets from multiple sources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related roles.
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization, big data tools, and programming languages for data analysis.
