Category Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in mining, organizing, and developing data into compelling sales stories for presentations to Customer Account Managers and/or Customers by developing actionable business insights.
• Communicate business opportunities and recommend action plans by collaborating with Customer Account Managers and/or Customers.
• Assist in presenting insights, strategies, and tactics to business partners.
• Participate with the Post Refrigerated Retail Sales Team in identifying and presenting recommendations for category growth.
• Monitor project status by tracking progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Manage and maintain ongoing relationships for category management activities.
• Provide category management insights and actionable recommendations that drive category growth for customers.
• Offer detailed category evaluation and recommendations in product assortment, placement, pricing, and promotion to enhance sales.
• Provide regular consumption updates with assessments of brand, category, and market issues or opportunities.
• Collect data from syndicated or customer-specific sources to support internal teams and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent education, training, and/or experience in Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience supporting category management or sales within a major organization.
• Experience using syndicated data tools such as Circana (IRI), Nielsen, 84.51°, Market6, Stratum, and Numerator.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to identify and leverage relevant data to develop solutions and make recommendations addressing business opportunities and challenges.

Nice to Have

• Consumer packaged goods (CPG) selling experience preferred.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
