Key Responsibilities

  • Gather intelligence that will improve Workday's competitive position.
  • Improve sales and pre-sales effectiveness by providing fact-based analysis on competitor offerings including: Financials, Spend Management, and Professional Services Automation.
  • Support the Field Sales, Pre-sales, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Product teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years' experience in strategy or competitive and market intelligence in or adjacent to the enterprise SaaS or AI industry.
  • 12+ years established business acumen with the ability to leverage existing experience and research to be credible across a wide range of industries.
  • Commitment to a systematic and ethical approach to Strategic Intelligence.
  • Extensive knowledge of market and pursuit dynamics and ability to think strategically about driving software opportunities forward.
  • Extensive experience engaging with senior executives and enterprise sales teams.
  • Ability to present clear and concise messages to audience including executive leadership.
  • Proven research and analytical skills.
  • "Get it done" mentality - willingness to roll up the sleeves in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (less than 20%).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS or AI industry.
  • Experience supporting or working closely with corporate strategy, product management, marketing, sales, or presales teams.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with at least 50% in-office presence.
