The airport receives no local tax dollars and is committed to supporting air service growth through research, community outreach, and industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive research and analysis regarding passenger demand, industry trends, state and regional developments, airline strategy and new market opportunities.
  • Conducts research and analyzes data involving passenger and air cargo service airlines while staying abreast of industry trends and news that could impact air service.
  • Assists with the air service incentive marketing program for the BNA including the incentive budget, airline reimbursement payment processes, and contract compliance to ensure consistency with BNA Air Service Incentive Plan and FAA guidelines.
  • Coordinates with and advises the Director of Airline Affairs regarding policies and plans impacting air service development, including passenger and air cargo service.
  • Works closely with independent air service consultants to identify air service deficiencies and opportunities and develop proposals to increase air service within the region.
  • Assists in crafting and delivering precise, impactful, and professional air service presentations to retain and attract passenger and cargo services.
  • Coordinates air passenger and cargo customer surveys within BNA's service area to determine what passenger and cargo needs are desired by the community.
  • Assists in community stakeholder outreach and education of key target audiences to promote air service growth.
  • Responds to marketing, economic, and informational inquiries concerning passenger and air cargo service.
  • Attends local, state, national, and international industry airline/airport conferences as a member of the BNA air service team.
  • Willing and able to travel as necessary both domestically and internationally.
  • Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
  • Follows all safety regulations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in airport administration, business administration, finance, analytics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant analytic experience.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Valid Passport.
  • Obtain Certified Membership (C.M.) in American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) within eighteen months.
  • Skill in conducting research, including identifying research questions, planning research, gathering data, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
  • Knowledge of equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety and security.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in the operation and improvement of airports.
  • Skill in managing conflict and identifying effective solutions.
  • Skill in interpreting, writing, and administering contracts.
  • Skill in conceptualizing and developing imaginative, workable solutions to problems.
  • Skill in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Ability to use words and sentences in writing so others will understand.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.

Nice to Have

  • 1-3 years air service or route development at an airport, airline, or relevant consultant experience.

Qualifications
