By joining the New Propositions team within Enterprise Marketing, you'll play a key role in informing user perspectives and scaling new initiatives in Augmented Reality, Generative AI (including Sparky), and home delivery. About the role As a Manager in Product Research, you will support research across different customer areas to help inform marketing, product, and strategy on customer-centric initiatives. You will use your knowledge of facilitation and stakeholder management to collaborate with partners, facilitate and guide strategy conversations, embed customer-centric approaches into both current and future efforts while conducting both generative and evaluative research efforts. You will use your great strengths in storytelling to share your research point of view in a compelling, convincing manner to the broader team. You will work with partners to determine a shared plan forward to address research goals and questions across complex business areas. As a Manager on the New Propositions team, you represent the core needs of our customers to help our partners understand customer motivations, pain points, and mental models. These insights will directly inform emerging products and experiences such as GenAI and Extended Reality. You will oversee research and collaborate with partners to inform product strategy and research methodology to inform our omni-channel customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Crafting a strategic research roadmap that pulls from a broad toolkit of in-person and remote research methods including interviews, un-moderated studies, field studies, participatory design, co-creation, diary studies, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Guiding research at multiple altitudes of data.
  • Using varied approaches including qualitative, quantitative, generative and evaluative research methodologies.
  • Solving complex problems with curiosity and openness.
  • Proactively soliciting and leveraging competitive research, data, and analytics to inform design and business strategy.
  • Thinking holistically through the entire ecosystem of end users and competitors.
  • Switching gears from deep design thinking to rapid-fire execution.
  • Having exceptional communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; OR 4 years' experience in business administration, marketing, or related field.
  • 4+ years experience in user research, business marketing, or related field.
  • A servant leader mentality.
  • A demonstrated track record of elevating design research, working cross-functionally, and thinking strategically to inform research for complex product areas.
  • A hunger to understand and help others understand how to apply research in AI and other emerging technology spaces.
  • A maker mindset with an extensive research toolkit of generative and evaluative research methods.
  • Experience with facilitation of Design Thinking / Lean methods in cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to motivate teams and partners.
  • Ability to translate research findings into product priorities and strategic narratives.

Nice to Have

  • 6+ years experience in user research.
  • Experience with psychology, sociology, anthropology, cognitive science, design.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence, computer science, or human-computer interaction.

Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Option 2: 4 years' experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
