The role involves managing, tracking, and approving ITS environment changes and software releases to production systems, as well as sharing responsibility as an Incident Manager to ensure rapid resolution of production and customer-impacting incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the change management process using ITIL best practices and industry standards for change
  • Manage the daily Change Management and Release Management functions including maintaining and documenting change management procedures, technical and business impact assessment
  • Lead Change Review meetings with local team members, stakeholders and management
  • Identify and manage scheduling conflicts working with teams to negotiate implementation dates and schedules across the organization
  • Ensure analysis is conducted to assess potential impacts of proposed changes
  • Coordinate the resolution of major issues with internal and external teams to drive incidents to resolution
  • Communicate incident status, resolution and business impact to internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate the completion of the postmortem statement for all high severity, critically impactful incidents
  • Foster internal relationships to organize incident resolution efforts quickly and smoothly
  • Manage risks and resolve issues impacting release scope, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Work with Configuration Management, Deployment, Test, and Quality teams to successfully deliver high-quality software
  • Develop and communicate realistic timelines considering potential obstacles and long-term consequences
  • Understand datacenter business objectives and review multiple plans, adjusting as needed
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of IT environment, operational processes, and industry best practices
  • Adapt plans, goals, actions, or priorities in response to changing situations
  • Contribute strategically to the change and release team and support strategic decisions
  • Develop, manage, and contribute to maturing ITSM processes, including the ServiceNow platform

Requirements

  • 2+ Years' experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience
  • 2+ Years' experience in change control process or Release Management process
  • ITIL Foundations Certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Excel, and Word
  • Previous ServiceNow experience
  • Experience in software life cycle

Nice to Have

  • 3+ Years' experience in change control process or Release Management process
  • 4+ Years' experience in change control process or Release Management process
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent work experience
  • Background that exhibits the ability to analyze multifaceted challenges through data
  • Experience using Project Management skills
  • Experience crafting and developing strategy plans
