About the Role

AMD is committed to driving innovation that powers the world's most advanced cloud and data center solutions. We are seeking a Cloud Business Strategist who will own forward-looking CPU TCO modeling and transition planning for AMD's top global cloud accounts in the U.S. and China. Our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences—covering data centers, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming, and embedded systems. We value innovation, execution excellence, and a culture that is direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own account-specific TCO model transitions for N+1 and N+2 generations, working closely with top U.S. and China cloud providers.
  • Lead customer conversations to uncover workload priorities, rack-level economics, and adoption drivers across swim lanes such as GP, HPC, AI, storage, etc.
  • Benchmark AMD solutions against Intel and ARM offerings within the same timeframes to frame AMD's value proposition.
  • Translate external findings into structured Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) that define product features, configurations, and competitive positioning for each account.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within AMD, influencing product planning, architecture, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Present insights and recommendations to AMD senior leadership.
  • Build a strong knowledge base of long-term roadmap requirements across AMD's cloud customers and ensure EPYC offerings meet next-gen infrastructure needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure strategy, customer-facing business development, or competitive CPU/server positioning.
  • Ability to engage at both executive and technical levels with customers.
  • Skilled at building bridges between customer requirements and internal product planning.
  • Proven experience engaging with hyperscale cloud providers or large-scale SaaS/PaaS operators in strategic or technical business roles.
  • Strong expertise in rack-level TCO modeling, data center economics, and CPU server architectures.
  • Familiarity with competitive Intel and ARM roadmaps and their impact on workload economics.
  • Track record of influencing product strategy and roadmap alignment through external partnerships.
  • Exceptional executive communication, customer engagement, and storytelling skills.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Experience with next-generation product feature requirements and roadmap planning.

Qualifications
