About the Role

Google's Knowledge and Information Partnerships organization works with a wide range of external partners to help build Google products through product-enabling relationships such as data licensing, content partnerships, API/platform integrations, and technology licensing. The Strategic Partner Development Lead will build relationships that grow in a fast-paced environment, deepen relationships with key industry partners, execute agreements, and track impact to enable Google’s success in areas like Search, Shopping, Assistant, Maps, and more. The role involves managing partnerships for Google, contributing to Google's future in Shopping, and fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end partner experience to ensure agreement integration which includes negotiating and finalizing agreements, executing on account plans, pitching to partners/suppliers, resolving partner issues and advocating on behalf of partners.
  • Develop partner strategy, including new partner and opportunity prospecting.
  • Conduct partner/industry research and collaborate on product strategy.
  • Identify key stakeholders with Ads, LCS, Product, Engineering, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to build networks and contribute to cross-team collaborations.
  • Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned components of a project.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of industry/vertical/market, and an understanding of Google partner ecosystems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in relevant industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience managing end-to-end partnerships.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships or management consulting in the ad tech, retail, shopping or technology industries.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Formal educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Benefits & Perks

  • US base salary range of $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
