Job Description

About the Role

The Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. You will manage your book of business, including administrative and operational tasks, handle day-to-day client servicing, and manage the renewal and marketing process from start to finish. The role involves maintaining relationships with clients and carrier contacts, preparing presentation materials, and actively participating in client meetings. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule based in Plainview, NY, with potential for remote or other East-coast office arrangements for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned book of business, maintaining relationships with carrier and client contacts.
  • Lead client meetings for accounts assigned to them.
  • Manage the renewal and marketing process from start to finish in collaboration with Account Executives and Advisors.
  • Communicate directly with clients and carriers in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
  • Create and maintain client files according to office procedures and keep client policy records in the agency management system.

Requirements

  • Customer-focused with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Experience with EPIC or similar agency management systems required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills, including strong business writing skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Self-confident with the ability to make sound independent decisions.
  • Ability to interact successfully with a variety of people and work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle situations professionally and courteously.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem resolution abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or education preferred.
  • More than seven years of Commercial Lines and industry experience.
  • Ability to understand and assess policy forms and endorsements.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • CRM experience required; EPIC experience highly desired.
  • P&C Insurance License required upon hire.

Nice to Have

  • EPIC experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • More than seven years of Commercial Lines experience.
  • P&C Insurance License upon hire.
