About the Role

The Communications Assistant at HCR Home Care will support the Communications Team by creating engaging social media content, managing digital presence, and supporting basic SEO initiatives. Additionally, the role involves supporting the Corporate Operations Team with general administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and contribute to company-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Communications Team by creating engaging social media content, scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and supporting basic SEO initiatives to enhance digital presence.
  • Play a key role in sharing the company's mission in home care, supporting recruitment efforts, and amplifying HCR's brand voice in a crowded digital space.
  • Support the development of social media campaigns focused on recruitment, retention, and brand awareness.
  • Track social media metrics and assist with monthly analytics reports.
  • Research and keep up on social media trends.
  • Update and maintain SEO keyword lists related to home care services and recruiting.
  • Assist in writing or optimizing meta descriptions, headlines, and blog content with SEO best practices.
  • Pull basic SEO performance reports.
  • Support the Corporate Operations team with general administrative duties such as covering reception, assembling informational packets and employee gifts, assisting with company fleet coordination, and providing general office support as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree or currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field plus 1-2 years social media experience.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, etc.) and trends, including posts, reels, stories, and social media tools such as Buffer.
  • Excellent communication and creative writing skills, especially for social media.
  • Proficiency with creative design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about social media and digital marketing.
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
  • Proven track record of personal accountability, good work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently with MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SEO optimization and analytics.
  • Experience in a similar administrative support role.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.

Benefits & Perks

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week.
  • Compensation of $19 - $22 per hour.
