About the Role

The Communications Consultant role at Fidelity Investments sits within the Tax-Exempt Market under Fidelity Workplace Investing. The position supports retirement plans for tax-exempt employers and their participants, including healthcare, higher education, government, and faith-based organizations. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in or lead client meetings to review communication requirements, deliverables, negotiate deadlines, and review budget implications
  • Strategize on the best approach to communicate critical information to participants through effective channels, prioritizing digital methods
  • Manage the creation and deployment of communications related to defined contribution/non-qualified plans and associated Fidelity products and services
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly with solutions that exceed expectations and ensure client satisfaction
  • Uncover plan-level opportunities by analyzing data from internal sources and translating insights into actionable steps
  • Serve as a liaison between the marketing team and the client to ensure marketing campaigns are understood and approved prior to distribution
  • Communicate operational updates to participants, such as fund or fee changes
  • Measure and report on the success and opportunities of communication efforts
  • Ensure regulatory mailings are compliant with FINRA and DOL requirements
  • Estimate project costs and bill for services when applicable
  • Travel up to 25% as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in employee benefits communications and/or financial services preferred
  • Client consultation experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred or required within 90 days
  • 5+ years of communications, marketing, or relevant experience
  • Ability to influence client decisions and manage multiple priorities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Active and effective listening skills
  • Data-driven mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice to Have

  • Experience with employee benefits communications and/or financial services
