About the Role

Fannie Mae is playing an essential role in the U.S. economy and is foundational to housing finance. The role of the Content and Social Strategist involves leading the development and creation of audience insights-based content that effectively communicates the Fannie Mae narrative, collaborating with marketing and cross-functional teams, and overseeing content execution to drive audience engagement. The position can be worked from Washington, DC or Reston, VA offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of multichannel marketing content including website content, display, social media, video, articles, case studies, and more, supporting key business initiatives.
  • Partner with team members and stakeholders to develop Fannie Mae's brand strategy, including brand architecture, naming, and messaging.
  • Create and manage an editorial calendar to plan and schedule content releases.
  • Translate data, insights, and trends into actionable content strategies.
  • Leverage research and data to assess product performance, prioritize areas for improvement, and identify new opportunities to meet audience needs.
  • Present information clearly to internal and external audiences through presentations, copywriting, and communication planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience delivering content across marketing channels such as social media, display, email, and web.
  • Deep understanding of social media marketing and analytics to inform business objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with flawless execution under tight timelines.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactively solving problems.

Nice to Have

  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Love of test and learn approach using research to ground strategy.
  • Ability to rapidly prioritize and respond to changing business needs.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Level Degree (Required).
