About the Role

The Content Marketing Manager will lead the planning, production, and optimization of content across Pro Athlete's brands JustBats, JustGloves, and JustPaddles, with a primary focus on video-first storytelling for social media. This role involves developing brand content strategies, managing creative execution, and building brand authority in the sporting goods space. The position requires collaboration with various teams to create engaging content that educates, inspires, and differentiates the brands in a competitive eCommerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive brand content strategies across three distinct sports brands.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and identify brand positioning opportunities.
  • Create strategic brand positioning frameworks that differentiate from competitors.
  • Design customer journey brand experiences for parent and athlete audiences.
  • Establish brand authority positioning leveraging the company's expertise.
  • Build quarterly and annual brand content roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Execute strategic brand content calendars based on the strategic framework.
  • Develop and maintain brand voice consistency across all three brands.
  • Coordinate product launch campaigns with strategic storytelling approaches.
  • Own the creation of short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
  • Manage the end-to-end video workflow: concept, scripting, filming, editing, publishing, and optimization.
  • Produce various content types including product demos, tutorials, athlete interviews, and behind-the-scenes stories.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends and adapt them for the brands.
  • Partner with internal and external creatives to bring campaigns to life.
  • Lead creative brief development for video campaigns and ensure smooth execution.
  • Develop content performance frameworks and KPI measurement systems.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to inform content strategies.
  • Create content attribution models to demonstrate ROI and business impact.
  • Design A/B testing strategies for content optimization.
  • Report performance insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop community engagement strategies to build brand authority.
  • Create customer advocacy programs leveraging testimonials.
  • Design expert positioning content to establish thought leadership.
  • Build strategic partnerships with coaches, teams, and parent communities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in content marketing, with 3+ years in social media video production.
  • Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts best practices.
  • Experience in eCommerce, retail, or the sports industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record developing brand content strategies that drive results.
  • Strategic brand thinking skills with the ability to connect content tactics to brand objectives.
  • Data-driven approach with experience building measurement frameworks.
  • Experience managing multiple brand voices within a cohesive strategy.
  • Strong writing and content creation skills that reinforce brand positioning.

Nice to Have

  • Sports industry experience (any sport—passion matters more than specific knowledge).
  • Experience with event management or on-site activations.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in content marketing and social media video production.
