About the Role

Hearst is seeking a strategic, creative Content Strategist to drive sponsored-content and influencer marketing initiatives across our Television and Newspaper divisions. You'll own the end-to-end content process, from shaping campaign ideas to building ads for sponsored promotions, collaborating closely with sales, editorial teams, and external partners. This role offers an opportunity to refine influencer and paid social media skills while working with nationally recognized media brands and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of sponsored requests: asset collection, copywriting/editing, editorial approvals, and multi-platform execution
  • Oversee budget pacing and boosted-content strategy via Facebook Ads
  • Manage campaigns using tools like LinkedIn Campaign Manager; define targeting, monitor spend, and deliver performance summaries
  • Identify and vet influencers across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn; negotiate deliverables, usage rights, and fees
  • Coordinate content briefs, production schedules, and contract sign-off
  • Produce regular reporting and insights; recommend strategic pivots to improve KPIs such as CTR, engagement, and conversions
  • Develop best-practice guides and run workshops for internal stakeholders on sponsored-content workflows and influencer marketing fundamentals
  • Maintain process documentation, style guides, and templates to streamline campaign execution

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of proven experience in creating and executing social media content and influencer campaigns from start to end
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with editorial teams
  • Experience creating posts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn; experience with Twitter and other social channels is a plus
  • Experience using Facebook Ads Manager and other paid social media tools
  • Ability to perform light design work, typically in Canva
  • Self-starter with the ability to execute quickly, brainstorm, and communicate with clients and sellers
  • Proficiency in social media tools: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter; ad platforms like Facebook Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager

Nice to Have

  • Experience with creating posts on Twitter and other social channels
  • Content marketing and SEO writing experience

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of social media content and influencer campaign experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field
