About the Role

The CORP MARKETING/SR DIGITAL COMMS DEVELOPER at Kroger Co. is responsible for planning, building, testing, and deploying customer-facing dynamic email communications. The role involves developing a comprehensive email program that includes targeted, segmented, personalized, and automated trigger emails, supporting enterprise digital communication initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Plan, build, test, and deploy customer-facing dynamic email communications, including frameworks and automations for personalized messaging.
Lead the development of a comprehensive email program, incorporating targeted/segmented content, personalized content, and automated trigger emails.
Oversee technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
Manage a team of email developers and/or deployment specialists to execute new email campaigns from initial concept through end-to-end coding and campaign ID tagging.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to build scalable platforms for personalized digital communications.
Develop dynamic email content based on customer history, targeting, A/B split testing, live content, and more.

Requirements

5+ years of experience coding complex email campaigns with a high level of personalization and understanding of the email marketing lifecycle.
Exemplary skills in HTML, AMPscript (Salesforce), and CSS coding for email.
Understanding of and experience working with large databases and database table design and structure.
Experience with email marketing reputation and list hygiene tools (e.g., Litmus, Return Path).
Knowledge of email, push notifications, and SMS/MMS including channel regulations; thorough knowledge of CAN SPAM Act.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions with strong quantitative skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adapt to changing business requirements.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, computer science, or related area.
Experience using Marketing Cloud solutions.
Experience with major ESP providers, Salesforce preferred.

Qualifications

Experience working with large databases and email marketing tools.
Proficiency in HTML, AMPscript, and CSS for email development.
Understanding of database design and structure.
Knowledge of email marketing regulations and best practices.
