About the Role

The University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts is hiring a Creative Designer Intermediate to join a diverse team of professionals dedicated to providing delightful and inclusive technology experiences for our faculty, students, and staff. You'll be surrounded by talented and dedicated people and will report to the Research Computing Services Supervisor. You will work closely with our Digital Scholarship team, our Research Software Programming Team, as well as our UX/UI and Accessibility Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Produce creative digital assets for websites, apps, and exhibits for our faculty and researchers.
Engage in a high degree of creativity with broad leeway to develop original work.
Be responsible for graphic design, typesetting, design output, creative imagery, art, color themes, and web pages.
Involved in the development and maintenance of the graphics standards, techniques, and methods.
Counsel internal clients on identity and design standards and policies.
Work with the Digital Scholarship Studio.

Requirements

Ability to produce creative digital assets for various platforms.
Experience with graphic design, typesetting, and visual development.
Knowledge of graphics standards, techniques, and methods.
Ability to counsel clients on identity and design standards and policies.
Creative skills with broad leeway to develop original work.
