About the Role

The Creative Product Marketing Senior at USAA is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of creative and marketing communication strategies for various products. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver innovative campaign concepts and assets that differentiate USAA products, support product acquisition goals, and maintain brand consistency. The position is based in multiple locations across the US, with a flexible work environment requiring in-office presence four days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and implementation of the creative and marketing communication strategy, campaign ideas, marketing communication plans, and the creation and optimization of campaign assets for supported products.
  • Leverages knowledge of business drivers, consumer, customer, and channel trends to lead marketing communications strategies for each product.
  • Provides insights into management on the creative marketing budget and partners with external agencies to ensure business objectives are achieved efficiently.
  • Recommends new trends and positioning opportunities to enhance product presence and marketing efficiency.
  • Supports future strategy and growth plans for all products under their purview.
  • Participates in the agile marketing process.
  • Supports the process and timeline for delivering integrated marketing plans from business review through activation and optimization, including development of activation briefs.
  • Ensures creative assets align with product regulations, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Keeps USAA’s brand and mission at the forefront of creative marketing assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required.
  • 6 years of relevant work experience including hands-on experience in developing and managing creatives.
  • Experience collaborating with key partners and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals.
  • Business acumen in operations, industry practices, and emerging trends.
  • Understanding of test-and-learn agendas, analyzing test data, and creating hypotheses from customer and competitor insights.
  • Experience in Product Marketing, including knowledge of laws and rules governing consumer products.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating information.

  • Experience developing creative executions aimed at solving business challenges.
  • Experience creating creative roadmaps that drive continuous improvement through test and learn agendas.
  • Skilled at using performance data and KPIs to measure success and inform future marketing strategies.
  • Experience working across paid and owned media channels.
  • Experience in video, radio, and photography production at small and large scales.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in the Financial Services or Insurance Industry.
  • Enjoys cross-functional collaboration to enhance business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Educational background including a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in creative development and management.
