About the Role

The Sr. Director/Director of Product Marketing for RUCKUS is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving market success of our products and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of end user needs and a commitment to representing the voice of the customer in all marketing. They will lead with business outcomes, ensuring that product marketing strategies directly contribute to measurable growth and impact. The role involves leading a team of Product Marketers, crafting and executing go-to-market strategies, establishing thought leadership, defining product positioning and messaging, managing product launches and sales enablement, designing demand generation campaigns, and continuously improving marketing effectiveness. Success is measured by KPIs such as sales pipeline growth, product adoption, asset utilization, and brand engagement, with opportunities to represent the company externally and shape the future of networking industry marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies for networking products and solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
  • Identify target customer segments, craft product value propositions, and map out integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.
  • Establish the company as a thought leader through content creation, analyst relations, speaking engagements, and industry representation.
  • Define clear product positioning and messaging that differentiates solutions and resonates with technical and business audiences.
  • Maintain a close relationship with PLM and have the technical capability to influence product roadmaps.
  • Tailor messages to core verticals such as education, hospitality, manufacturing, and multi-dwelling units to address industry-specific needs.
  • Lead the go-to-market launch for new products and major features, coordinating across departments and developing sales enablement tools.
  • Design and execute demand generation campaigns, monitor performance, and optimize tactics to improve lead quality and conversion.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of product marketers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Define and track KPIs for marketing activities, analyze metrics, and use insights to refine strategies, reporting on marketing impact to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, marketing management, or related roles, preferably in B2B technology.
  • Proven success in driving go-to-market strategies and launching products or services.
  • Leadership experience in managing projects and teams.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, especially Wi-Fi (WLAN) and Ethernet switching.
  • Strong understanding of campus networking solutions or related IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to translate technical features into customer benefits and understand networking concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating impactful content and delivering presentations.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, customer insights, and campaign metrics.
  • Experience or familiarity with vertical markets such as education, hospitality, government, or multi-dwelling units.
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to lead cross-functionally, and mentor talent.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • High capacity for action, balancing strategic planning with execution.
