About the Role

Directive Consulting is a leading B2B performance marketing agency specializing in driving revenue through innovative marketing strategies. The CRO Strategist (Remote US) plays a crucial role in shaping and executing data-driven conversion rate optimization strategies for enterprise SaaS clients, working directly with clients to improve advertising, landing pages, and website performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Own, lead, and execute high-impact CRO strategies, integrating data insights with creative solutions to improve client conversion rates.
  • Design and implement tailored CRO strategies for diverse clients to achieve their business goals.
  • Manage day-to-day CRO activities for multiple client accounts, including experimentation, A/B testing, multivariate testing, and behavior analysis.
  • Conduct CRO audits to identify strengths and weaknesses, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish KPIs for CRO initiatives and develop comprehensive A/B testing roadmaps for digital campaigns and websites.
  • Make strategic CRO recommendations considering client risk appetite, technical limitations, and CRO maturity.
  • Collaborate with other service lines to identify CRO opportunities, support client pitches, and contribute to cross-sell and upsell efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and renewal rates.
  • Travel to visit clients approximately once per year or as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working at a performance/digital marketing agency, with 3 years specific to CRO, preferably in B2B/SaaS.
  • Ability to develop strategies to enhance client CRO by understanding their business, traffic, and marketing goals.
  • Significant client-facing experience managing complex relationships and guiding impactful CRO programs.
  • Proficiency with customer journey-related software including Unbounce and Hubspot.
  • Expertise with A/B and multivariate testing tools such as Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target, Convert.com, and related research tools like Hotjar and Fullstory.
  • Experience with web analytics platforms such as GA4 and Adobe Analytics, as well as heat mapping and reporting tools like Crazy Egg and Looker Studio.
  • Ability to analyze existing messaging, conduct audits, and communicate complex findings clearly.
  • Active participation in CRO thought leadership, conferences, and networking events to stay current on industry best practices.
