About the Role

The Cultural Insights Strategist (Planner) at Influencer will uncover emerging trends, evolving audience behaviors, and shifts in online culture to help clients stay deeply connected to relevant communities. This role involves analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from social listening, cultural research, creator, and consumer trends to extract meaningful insights that inform brand partnerships and engagement strategies. The position supports thought leadership, client pitches, and internal teams by providing culturally relevant, actionable recommendations to shape brand strategies and creative campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Brand Partnerships to apply cultural insights to business and industry challenges, producing clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate culturally grounded insights aligned with client objectives.
  • Support and own internal and external trend reports and broader thought leadership efforts.
  • Develop a structured trends and insights ecosystem to guide internal thinking and add value for clients.
  • Design and execute global consumer research studies, including surveys and focus groups, to uncover customer needs, behaviors, and preferences.
  • Leverage advanced analytics tools and methodologies to analyze customer journeys, product usage, and purchasing trends.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an insights or strategy role.
  • Strong understanding of broader marketing trends and digital culture, with the ability to connect brands to cultural and industry shifts.
  • Knowledge of key qualitative research methods, including focus groups, expert interviews, desk research, and in-depth interviews.
  • Experience working with quantitative data sets and translating numbers into meaningful, culturally relevant narratives.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into clear insights.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce performance metrics.
  • Genuine interest in different cultures and online behaviors.
  • Collaborative approach and clear, impactful communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing and executing global consumer research studies.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Understanding of social listening and cultural research techniques.

Qualifications
