Data Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Compile multiple reports into concise and comprehensive Business Reviews
• Ensure there is back-up skill set or redundancy for each business critical report to accommodate PTO and open positions without impact on the business
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Leverage system and reporting tools to provide meaningful analyses and automate reports
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Prepare and present key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Provide training and guidance within team
• Oversee reporting and analyzed data to ensure accuracy for management
• Understand roles and responsibilities of Data Analysts within each department
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
• One to three years previous experience in data analysis or related roles
• Experience with reporting and systems software (e.g., data warehouses)
• Advanced knowledge in Excel and Access; ACL, Lawson and Crystal Reports preferred
• Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written
• Ability to interpret instructions in various communication mediums
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information
• Meet tight deadlines and multi-task with attention to detail
• Self-motivated, organized, with strong time-management and problem-solving skills
• Work independently and as part of a team
