Job Description

About the Role

The Data & Analytics Function at Cardinal Health oversees the analytics life-cycle to identify, analyze, and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities for a competitive advantage. This role involves managing analytic data platforms, designing and implementing reporting and business intelligence solutions, and applying advanced quantitative modeling to develop, recommend, and communicate actionable insights to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and test the purpose of code to verify it meets requirements and be accountable for the overall solution.
  • Take ownership of requirements through analysis, design, development, and unit/UAT testing.
  • Work independently once given initial direction and contribute to complex projects of large scope.
  • Develop technical solutions to difficult problems that are innovative and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and work on complex projects.

Requirements

  • Strong Finance/Accounting background.
  • Previous experience working with SAP.
  • Ability to work independently once given initial direction.
  • Requirements elicitation skills and ability to take ownership of requirements through all phases.
  • Business process understanding.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to build relationships with the business.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Conceptual understanding of data modeling.
  • Diligent and organized work ethic.
  • Ability to understand the purpose of code and test its functionality.
  • Proven experience learning new domains and processes, both business and technical.

Nice to Have

  • Data visualization experience with Looker and/or Tableau.
  • General high-level knowledge of GCP BigQuery.
