About the Role

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling. Data Analytics applies business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the purpose of code and test the functionality to verify it meets the requirements, being accountable for the overall solution.
  • Take ownership of requirements through analysis, design, development, and unit/UAT testing.
  • Work independently once given the initial direction.
  • Gather requirements, take ownership, and drive the business in requirements elicitation.
  • Develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, ensuring solutions are innovative and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Complete work independently with general guidance on new projects.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Work on complex projects of large scope.

Requirements

  • Strong Finance/Accounting background.
  • Previous experience working with SAP.
  • Ability to work independently once given the initial direction.
  • Requirements elicitation skills and ability to take ownership through analysis, design, development, and testing.
  • Business process understanding.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and oral.
  • Ability to build relationships with the business.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Conceptual understanding of data modeling.
  • Diligent and organized work ethic.
  • Ability to understand the purpose of code and verify functionality.
  • Knowledge seeking with proven experience learning new domains and processes, both business and technical.
  • Preferred: Data visualization experience with Looker and/or Tableau.
  • Preferred: General high-level GCP BigQuery knowledge.
