About the Role

Data Analyst Associate - 2026 is a full-time position within a two-year rotational program at Capital One, designed as a career accelerator to develop the next generation of leading talent. Participants will engage in rotations at the one-year mark, gaining hands-on experience in two distinct roles, with opportunities to remain in their final placement or explore other opportunities within the company. The program emphasizes deep analytical challenges, business strategy, and data-driven decision-making, fostering growth through experiential training, leadership interactions, and collaborative environments.

Key Responsibilities

Apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges using data-driven approaches.
Perform as a data pioneer to drive recommendations and implement solutions.
Collaborate with colleagues across business, product, tech, sales, operations, design, data science, engineering, and finance to generate insights.
Harness cloud-based tools and platforms to explore structured and unstructured data.
Use data mining techniques to identify fraud rings.
Test the effectiveness of marketing channels.
Use modeling and analytics to understand how business decisions impact the bottom line.
Build the data foundation for Capital One's digital agenda.
Seamlessly integrate data from multiple sources and platforms to generate customer insights.
Explore new data sources to enhance models and build solutions that empower analytics.
Research web activities to drive improvements in customer engagement sites.

Requirements

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or higher with an expectation to complete the degree before the start date of February 2026 or August 2026.
Ability to work in the continental United States with in-person attendance at assigned location.
Experience or familiarity with data analysis, modeling, or related technical skills.
Interest in working with cloud-based tools and platforms.
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Curiosity, analytical mindset, and a passion for learning and innovation.
Comfort with ambiguity and complex problem-solving.
Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with SQL or open source languages.
Knowledge of data mining techniques and modeling.
Familiarity with digital marketing analytics.
Interest in developing entrepreneurial and innovative solutions.
