Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the acquisition and cleaning of large databases that include health care data, requiring familiarity with HIPAA and data security best practices
  • Uses sophisticated methodology to identify trends or patterns in behavioral health care and identifies data quality issues
  • Makes recommendations to improve systems design, data entry, and processes to ensure accurate data
  • Develops reports and presentations as necessary
  • Supports the development of key metrics used by leadership for strategic planning
  • Develops dashboards to provide snapshots of key data and disseminates reports and metrics to users
  • Develops new training materials
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SAS and R
  • Experience with large databases and complex data models
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and data security practices
  • Experience in behavioral health care data preferred
  • Information Technology background preferred

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of publicly-funded behavioral health care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Science)
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
