About the Role

The Data & Analytics Function at Cardinal Health oversees the analytics life-cycle to identify, analyze, and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities for a competitive advantage. This role involves managing analytic data platforms, designing and implementing reporting and business intelligence solutions, and applying advanced quantitative modeling to develop, recommend, and communicate actionable insights to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Understand and test the purpose of code to verify it meets requirements and is accountable for the overall solution.
Take ownership of requirements through analysis, design, development, and unit/UAT testing.
Work independently once given initial direction and contribute to complex projects of large scope.
Develop technical solutions to difficult problems that are innovative and aligned with organizational objectives.
Build relationships with the business and communicate effectively both written and orally.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures as needed.
Complete work independently with general guidance on new projects.

Requirements

Strong Finance/Accounting background.
Previous experience working with SAP.
Ability to work independently once given initial direction.
Requirements elicitation skills and ability to drive the business in gathering requirements.
Willingness to take ownership through analysis, design, development, and testing.
Business process understanding.
Strong SQL skills.
Conceptual understanding of data modeling.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to build relationships with the business.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Looker and/or Tableau preferred.
General high-level knowledge of GCP BigQuery preferred.
Diligent, organized, and able to understand the purpose of code and verify functionality.

Nice to Have

Data visualization experience with Looker and/or Tableau.
High-level GCP BigQuery knowledge.
