About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews, extracts and analyzes data to be used in formulation of procedures, processes and other requirements.
• Provides reports of relevant activity to identify problematic areas and support modifications or eliminations of operational issues.
• Assists with development of complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretations to guide divisional efforts.
• Performs focused analyses as needed.
• Creates data search programs to identify pertinent data needed for supporting documentation of system or operational enhancements/changes.
• Documents reporting procedures so other staff can run ad hoc reports independently.
• Designs, codes, and maintains complex database programs for data extraction and analysis to support financial and operational decisions.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
• 2 years of research and analysis experience.
• Strong organizational, customer service, communications and analytical skills.
• Ability to use complex mathematical calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
• Knowledge of programming languages across various software platforms, using DB2, SQL, and/or relational databases.
• Ability to analyze data results, determine the source of aberrant statistics and resolve data issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of tools such as Visual Basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes.

Nice to Have

• 3 years of research, data mining and data analysis experience.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of development experience in SQL server, Power BI.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Previous experience in healthcare, claims, prior authorization, supporting DME.
