Data Analyst II (Full Time)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work on the technical design and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Align applications with firm data management standards and ensure compliance within the portfolio.
• Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and utilize SQL Server to generate reports and respond to user data requests.
• Collaborate with technology team members to ensure quality monitoring.
• Communicate problem and resolution processes clearly to users or management.
• Contribute to technical documentation and application procedures.
• Ensure compliance with change management and security policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of Relational Database Design.
• Working knowledge of ETL using SSIS or comparable tools.
• Strong technical experience in database development, including performing DDL operations, writing queries and stored procedures, and optimizing database objects.
• Solid reporting skills preferably using SSRS.
• Establishment and implementation of reporting tools to create reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work closely with non-technical users.
• Willingness to work after-hours and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-driven with a desire to achieve measurable results within tight timeframes.
• Willingness to interface with users and vendors.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of MS Access, MS Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, or Datawatch Monarch.
• Experience with Data management standards such as data governance.
• Support for financial applications with architectural and system component knowledge.
