Data Analyst Intern

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in researching, writing, and producing live newscasts, including newsgathering for daily broadcasts.
• Create and stack news rundowns and write accurate, engaging scripts.
• Work closely with the assignment desk, producers, digital team, and anchors to develop compelling stories across all platforms.
• Follow graphic format stylebook in production of programs.
• Direct and coordinate efforts of assigned studio personnel.
• Contribute to digital platforms and participate in special projects.
• Work in the New York market and collaborate across a tristate network.
• Gain hands-on newsroom experience and work one-on-one with seasoned journalists.
• Collaborate with anchors, news gatherers, and directors to execute news shows.
• Participate in night and weekend shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, preferably in TV Production, Broadcasting, or related fields.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of current and emerging newscast technologies.
• Understanding of producing live and taped newscasts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of the production process and what makes a fair and balanced story.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant degree program (bachelor's or master's).
