About the Role

The Data Analyst Intern - Summer 2026 is a full-time paid internship program at Capital One, spanning ten weeks from June through August 2026. Interns will be involved in solving complex data problems that enable insights into customer behavior and operational performance, working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The program offers exposure to real operational projects, leadership opportunities, and networking activities, with the potential for evaluation for a full-time position within Capital One's rotational programs after completion.

Key Responsibilities

Harness cloud-based tools and platforms to explore structured and unstructured data
Use data mining techniques to identify fraud rings
Test the effectiveness of marketing channels
Use modeling and analytics to understand how business decisions impact the bottom line
Build the data foundation for Capital One's digital agenda
Seamlessly integrate data from multiple sources and platforms to generate customer insight
Explore new data sources to enhance models and build solutions that empower analytics
Research web activities to drive enhancements to customer engagement sites

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with an expectation to complete the most recent full-time degree program by August 2027 or earlier
Must be continuing in the same course of study following completion of the internship
Interest in data analysis, technology, and building solutions
Ability to work with SQL or open source languages
Strong logical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Excellent communication skills for explaining complex ideas

Experience with analytic platforms and building solutions
Passion for exploring new data sources and building models
Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in creating new businesses or reinventing current ones

Qualifications

Full-time pursuit of a Bachelor's degree or higher, expected to graduate by August 2027 or earlier
