Job Description

About the Role

The Data Analyst, Support Operations at Cloudflare is responsible for analyzing large volumes of data generated by applications to detect patterns, extract insights, and communicate results. The role involves creating reports and dashboards to identify business opportunities and support data-driven decision making, ultimately helping shape the direction of work across teams within a company that builds a better Internet through innovative network solutions and social impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling dashboards and automated reporting of key performance insights for the Support team.
  • Work closely with Support leadership to report on key business metrics, identify trends, and answer important questions.
  • Help the product team prioritize work by leveraging data to identify high impact opportunities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including finance, HR, and others to deliver data for monthly business reviews.
  • Participate in the early stages of projects to ensure success metrics are defined.
  • Continue building a culture of data-driven and measurable decision making.
  • Develop and maintain processes to organize and compare disparate data sets.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled at writing SQL to query relational databases; knowledge of R or Python is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple high priority initiatives with a focus on data accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • 3+ years of experience in a business/data analyst role supporting customer-facing teams.
  • Experience creating compelling dashboards and visualizations, with Looker Studio or Tableau being a plus.
  • Critical thinking skills to deliver insights and recommendations based on reports.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of R or Python.
