About the Role

The Data Analytics & Engineering - Data Analyst IV role involves developing scalable data solutions, improving product health, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality experiences on Meta's platforms. The position offers an opportunity to make an impact in a fast-growing organization, working closely with Global Operations, Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to enhance the reliability and safety of Meta apps and products. The team is passionate about solving user issues and advocating for Meta users globally, emphasizing collaboration, technical expertise, and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams within Product Operations, Global Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, and Engineering to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Independently analyze data, conduct research, and synthesize feedback into plans, processes, and playbooks.
  • Build and maintain data infrastructure such as reporting layer data pipelines, reports, dashboards, and alerts to monitor operational performance and drive business understanding.
  • Proactively propose creative technical and quantitative solutions to problems and drive these through to implementation, including identifying data and tooling requirements for scalable, self-service solutions.
  • Communicate results of analyses to non-technical stakeholders who use systems involving metrics, pipelines, and dashboards.
  • Define metrics and KPIs for end-to-end product operations and develop repeatable, reproducible analyses.

Requirements

  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBi, Alteryx, Hive, and other data visualization and customization tools.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or research-oriented field such as engineering, data science, social science, or related fields with a focus on data.
  • 4+ years of work experience in quantitative research, statistics, or data analysis.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, relational databases, and/or object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience communicating and presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced technical degree or graduate degree in statistics, marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience in marketing analytics or social media measurement.
  • Experience measuring the performance of AI models.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or research-oriented field such as engineering, data science, social science, or related fields.
