About the Role

The Data Analytics Manager at Optimum Media is responsible for leading a team to provide custom analytics for various clients, including multi-screen reporting and attribution analyses. The role involves data integration, querying skills, and working closely with senior leadership to lead projects, innovate reporting methods, and develop new analytic products. The position is client-facing and requires clear communication of complex technical matters, mentoring analysts, and understanding business objectives to deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the business objectives of a4 clients, mine data, analyze, report, and present findings with actionable insights.
  • Access raw data via SQL programming and aggregate results for use by analysts and clients.
  • Create complex ad hoc reports and analyses using multiple data stores.
  • Acquire and stage data for use by analysts within and outside the department.
  • Analyze and recommend areas for additional analysis and troubleshoot automated processes as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Business Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong SQL programming skills, data structure knowledge in relational databases, and data manipulation and transformation expertise.
  • Fluency with Python preferred.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in data analysis and database systems.
  • Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based enterprise data warehouses (RedShift, Google Big Query, Databricks preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience with the ability to train and lead a team.
  • Exceptional data, analytics, and quantitative skills, including understanding of multi-touch attribution, data management platforms, customer segmentation, or predictive analytics.
  • Experience with BI tools like Domo, Tableau, or similar for developing and automating dashboards and reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all management levels internally and externally.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and willing to learn new methods and tools.
  • Previous experience in media analytics within a media agency or organization strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python programming.
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as RedShift, Google Big Query, or Databricks.
  • Background in media analytics in a media agency or organization.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Information Science, Business Analytics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.

  • Starting pay range of $123,379.00 - $202,694.00 per year.
