About the Role

The Data Analytics Product Lead at Roche is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of data analytics products within the organization. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical data solutions, ensuring that data products, services, and capabilities meet stakeholder requirements and drive strategic business outcomes. It involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including business leaders, data analysts, data scientists, and IT teams, to gather requirements and ensure alignment on product goals. The position also entails managing the product backlog, participating in agile development processes, and ensuring data products meet quality, security, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the data product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the data product backlog, ensuring that it reflects business priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and other teams to gather requirements, define user stories, and ensure alignment on data product goals.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and translate them into clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure data products adhere to data quality, security, and compliance standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the data space to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role, preferably in a data and analytics environment.
  • Strong understanding of key technologies and frameworks for data and analytics platforms product development.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data interoperability, data analytics, and data governance.
  • Experience in working with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Spotify).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in product management, project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, G-suite).
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships in a complex organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a big team setup, with team members in different locations, including 3rd parties.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • English proficiency

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in Healthcare.
  • Data mesh and Data fabric knowledge.
  • Experience as data analyst and/or data scientist.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight).
  • Certifications such as SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager Certification (POPM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in data and analytics product roles.
