About the Role

Lange Companies is seeking a Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to transform fragmented, manual processes and scattered data into clear, actionable insights. The role involves working closely with the VP of IT, Business Analyst, and key stakeholders to develop a cohesive and governed data environment, deliver meaningful reports and dashboards, and support the company's data strategy. Key Responsibilities

Own the design, development, and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, and Excel
Collaborate with business units to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, useful visualizations
Partner with the Business Analyst to explore business processes, identify performance metrics, and highlight areas for improvement
Support the development and enforcement of data governance standards (data definitions, integrity, access, etc.)
Work with the IT team to define and validate data sources, helping integrate and transform data from systems including Microsoft-based tools, Oracle ERP, TMS system, and Azure services
Contribute to the formation of the company's data and BI strategy, moving toward more automated, data-enabled operations
Identify opportunities to supplement internal capabilities by working with external data or BI vendors, consultants, or contractors; help scope engagements, evaluate deliverables, and ensure alignment with internal goals and standards
Assist with ad hoc analysis and data pulls to support operations, sales, logistics, and executive decision-making

Requirements

3-6 years of experience in a data analytics, BI, or similar role
Solid knowledge of Power BI and SQL (DAX and data modeling experience a plus)
Comfort with Excel for analysis, data cleanup, and modeling
Strong analytical thinking and business acumen, ability to connect data to real-world decisions, self-starter
Experience working with cross-functional teams or varied departments
Effective communication skills, especially in explaining data to non-technical users

Nice to Have

Bachelor's Degree
Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms
Background in distribution, logistics, brokerage, or other complex operational environments
Experience in data governance or data quality initiatives
Exposure to ERP systems or cloud data sources
