About the Role

As a Data Engineer - AWS and Informatica, you will make an impact by designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and systems. You will be a valued member of the cloud modernization and migration team and work collaboratively with modern data engineering experts.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor the system's performance and conduct database tuning.
Plan and execute migration projects.
Craft complex SQL queries and optimize them. Ability to tweak query performance and optimize database operations.
Use cloud platforms for hosting databases and performing migrations such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

Requirements

Expertise in Informatica IICS, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
Strong understanding of Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools.
Experience with different database management systems such as PostgreSQL, Db2, and Oracle.
Awareness of data security best practices and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring Boot.
Familiarity with tools and techniques for data validation and cleansing.

Nice to Have

Experience with Java Persistence API (JPA) and Hibernate for ORM.
Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit.
Familiarity with BDD tools such as Cucumber for testing.
Experience with scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting for automation tasks.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
