The role of Data Engineer II is to help shape and scale the company's data foundation to support analytics, AI, and operational efficiency, working closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven insights and innovations.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, maintenance and evolution of scalable data pipelines, data structures, source systems and warehouse/lake environments.
Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to manage, structure, and analyze data from various sources to solve business problems.
Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
Document data models, dictionaries, data flow maps, and metadata to support transparency and data governance.
Support current ETL processes, monitor data pipelines and processes, and ensure their proper functioning.
Assess problems, find opportunities, and recommend and implement the best solutions.
Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to implement data capture, ETL, validation, and QA processes.
Support data governance and security policies, and stay updated on the latest data management practices.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data and Analytics, Data Science or equivalent degree.
3 - 4 years of experience with building and maintaining data lake and data solutions.
Strong understanding of data structures, database objects, data normalization, and data transformation techniques.
Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex stored procedures.
Familiarity with Snowflake preferred.
Knowledge of pipeline tools.
Proficiency in Python required.
Experience in building dashboards using visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
Understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with CI/CD using Git.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Snowflake.
Experience with FiveTran.
