The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Data Processing Coordinator located in Howard County, MD. This position is a Home Office-based role with occasional travel to support fundraising events. Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on data support for fundraising events, including database management and financial reporting.
  • Accurate entry of donor pipelines, leadership and donation data, ticket fair market value (FMV), and all data to support the event.
  • Work with various teams on special types of donations including matching gifts, split gifts, donor advised funds, and financial corrections.
  • Ensure donor acknowledgments are properly sent.
  • Report to the Director of Business Operations and collaborate with fundraisers and coordinators to manage data for various markets within the Support Services teams.
  • Perform event data entry into various database systems including Dynamics, Luminate, and Greater Giving.
  • Maintain accurate donation data in Dynamics.
  • Process sponsorships and record revenue into data systems.
  • Manage matching gifts, review, and code as needed.
  • Conduct weekly data reviews in support services meetings.
  • Perform monthly event revenue reconciliations.
  • Maintain quarterly Gold Standard Board data.
  • Research financial questions and inquiries, and request recodes as needed.
  • Travel within region for events as needed.
  • Assist fundraising partners with reports using application system reports.
  • Provide customer service requests such as software corrections, database receipting, and pulling constituent records.

Requirements

  • University/College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of work experience in administrative office or project coordination with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks across multiple territories.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work outside of standard hours, including some evenings and/or weekends.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically throughout assigned geographical territory.
  • Knowledge of report preparation, proofreading, and attention to detail.
  • Proven flexibility and adaptability in a changing work environment.
  • Ability to transport materials and lift/move large objects, with assistance if needed.
  • Must pass background check and be at least 18 years old.

Nice to Have

  • Project management experience.
  • Digital event production experience.
  • Experience using Tableau reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint system.
  • Proven ability to respond quickly to changing responsibilities and strategies.

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Ability to pass background check.
