About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a team responsible for all aspects of the Enterprise Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy.
• Overseeing quarterly activities such as Top Risk Alignment, Data Risk metrics, Risk Appetite Assessment, Scenario Analysis, and Lessons Learned.
• Conducting data risk profile metric adequacy assessments and risk appetite analytics.
• Leading annual activities including Risk Appetite Statement development and review.
• Driving the creation and execution of frameworks that improve data quality, meet regulatory commitments, and enhance risk management.
• Leveraging data governance tools such as glossaries, lineage, and data quality tools to support data governance initiatives.
• Promoting a positive risk culture through transparent engagement and partnership approach.
• Leading change management initiatives within a large, complex organization.
• Communicating effectively across different audiences to drive consensus and influence relationships at all levels.
• Managing ambiguity and complex information to solve problems effectively.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and working with regulators on data plan execution.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in Banking or Financial Services, with 8-10+ years of managerial experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to foresee future possibilities and translate them into strategies.
• Experience in Risk Appetite Assessment, Risk Management, Data, and Risk and Control.
• Effective communication skills to develop and deliver multi-mode communications and influence stakeholders.
• Experience leading organizational change and leveraging change management principles.
• Ability to manage through ambiguity by analyzing complex and sometimes contradictory information.
• Experience creating and executing frameworks to improve data quality and meet regulatory commitments.
• Knowledge of data governance tools such as glossaries, lineage, and data quality tools.
• Understanding of the regulatory environment and previous experience working with regulators on data plans (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
