About the Role

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you will work on unlocking insights from complex data sets to solve global challenges across various sectors. You will use your expertise to analyze structured and unstructured data, develop algorithms, and provide actionable insights to clients, leveraging data science for good in a collaborative and flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs related to data.
Analyze data-rich environments to find relevant information and patterns.
Guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems.
Use appropriate tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into objective answers.
Develop predictive data models, conduct quantitative analyses, and create visualizations of targeted data sources.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
5+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
5+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
Experience developing predictive data models, conducting quantitative analyses, and visualizing data.
Experience leading the development of solutions to complex programs.
Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques.
Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

Experience in developing algorithms using R, Python, or SQL and NoSQL.
Experience with distributed data and computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
Experience with visualization packages such as Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
