About the Role

SAIC, a leading provider of systems development &amp;amp; deployment, targeting and intelligence analysis, systems engineering &amp;amp; integration, and training capabilities and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join their National Intelligence Program. The role involves leveraging extensive experience to extract meaningful insights from large, structured, and unstructured data sets, utilizing statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization to drive decision-making and strategic planning across various business units. The candidate will work closely with customers to understand changing needs and offer recommendations based on quantitative analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage experience to extract meaningful insights from large, structured, and unstructured data sets.
Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
Drive decision-making processes and strategic planning across various business units.
Work closely with customers to understand and participate in changing needs.
Offer recommendations for resolution based on quantitative analysis.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science such as Python, R, and SQL.
Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and advanced statistics.
Proven ability to work with large-scale data sets and familiarity with data querying tools.
Solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Experience with AWS cloud computing platforms.
Proficient in data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership and stakeholders.
