The role involves evaluating and designing data architecture solutions to optimize risk data and reporting platforms, supporting data management and governance practices, and developing data-driven solutions to enable risk management capabilities within the Global Risk Management (GRM) division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the existing GRM data architecture and design solutions to simplify and optimize the data environment.
  • Contribute to the architecture for Risk Data and Reporting Platform to enable Data Management and Reporting capabilities for risk lines of businesses.
  • Evaluate data tools, conduct Proof of Concepts, and develop remediation plans to implement recommended solutions.
  • Support analysis, design, and development of Risk Data and Reporting Platform to enable data management and reporting.
  • Perform hands-on research and evaluation of data tools, develop Proof of Concepts, and process large complex datasets.
  • Develop reporting solutions, perform thematic analysis, data discovery, and issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of data solutions, data platforms, data management & governance practices and standards.
  • Use architecture tools to create design artifacts including data models, API design, and data solutions architecture.
  • Lead strategy and architecture for data management products such as Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Data Feeds Registry, Data Quality, and related data services.
  • Design data products to provide high-quality data for quantitative modeling solutions.
  • Assess the health and maturity of data & information capabilities for the GRM domain.
  • Evangelize and design new data solutions and capabilities to support risk lines of businesses.
  • Participate in defining the mission, goals, principles, and procedures for data strategy and information architecture.
  • Build business cases to secure approval and funding for data and analytical efforts.
  • Maintain logical data models and data flows to understand data interdependencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, Data Science, or Analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience in data platform/solutions and data management architecture (or 3+ years with a Master's degree).
  • Strong experience in designing and developing data solutions, data management & governance products, and data/reporting platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, profiling, and developing dashboards and automated reports.
  • Experience with API design and technologies such as GraphQL.
  • Expertise in architecting complex design patterns, microservices, API design, data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of industry paradigms such as data mesh, data contracts, and integration fabric.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores, big data environments, and data technologies including Python, Spark, Airflow, Javascript, and SQL.
  • Ability to research new data technologies, architect novel solutions, and develop prototypes and POCs.
  • Knowledge of data management functions such as Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Data Marketplace, Data Quality, and Feature Stores.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective organization-wide communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data management platforms such as Collibra or open-source frameworks like Apache Atlas, Amundsen, Datahub, Marquez.
  • Knowledge of data storage layers/formats such as Apache Iceberg, Hudi, Delta Lake, Parquet, JSON, and Avro.
  • Experience with graph processing and storage technologies such as Knowledge Graphs, Property Graphs, and graph stores like TigerGraph.
  • Exposure to Linked Data / Open Data and GenAI-based data solutions.
